Job tasks
  • Responsible to take all necessary actions within BCSNA-Winona to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SPIs, Business Excellence & Six Sigma objectives, and Sarbanes-Oxley legislative objectives
  • Compliance with all regular and adhoc corporate reporting requirements
  • Coordinate and approve, as necessary, all accounting activities for BCS NA-Winona entities to ensure complete, accurate, and timely month‑end financial statements adhering to GAAP and SPI/APPs
  • Coordinate annual audits which includes assisting internal and external auditors as necessary and organizing all areas of BCS NA-Winona involved in such audits
  • Management of the annual budget preparation
  • Management of the annual inventory standard cost revision
  • Responsible for systems development in the financial areas of A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, Product Costing and Tooling
  • Direct preparation of local accounting department policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining Financial GMOs
  • Maintain the financial systems necessary to continue to provide meaningful management information in a changing environment
  • Accurate profit and cash flow projections for the business
  • Streamline reporting systems to provide adequate information at minimal cost
  • Maintain systems sufficient to ensure the relative accuracy of MRP/Production records (KBM)
  • Maintain systems sufficient in regard to Customer Tooling to allow BCS NA-Winona to pass customer audits with acceptable exposure levels
  • Work closely with Bids and Estimating to provide assistance in pricing decisions
  • Ensure maintenance of records to report on variances in material, labor, and burden
  • Oversight responsible for filing of real estate and personal property tax, and sales tax returns, as well as all related activities
  • General responsibility for insurance matters as liaison to the Risk Management Department
  • Maintain systems for identifying and addressing issues of slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Monitor of adherence to policies to ensure integrity of inventories and related records
  • Bring to attention of other management items of concern that need further review; i.e., Bid/Actual deviations, variances of significance, expense overruns, improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Provide the necessary support to the GDPIM group in the Product Launch activities
  • Sets the example and establishes the expectation regarding required personal protective equipment and safe work practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a Finance or Accounting major
  • Seven years accounting‑related work experience
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively.  Requires creative and analytical thinking. 
  • Must also possess an aptitude for practical approaches to problem solving and designing operating procedures
  • Proven track record of strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and outside sources. Must be able to effectively delegate and work collaboratively with other functional departments
  • Previous experience in automotive electronics, plastics, and electronic assembly preferred
